Career Goals
My career goal is to work in information technology, especially in computer support, help desk support, troubleshooting, repair, diagnostics, or coding. I enjoy working with technology and helping people solve problems.
I am currently building skills through my IT Computer Support coursework, certifications, customer service experience, and job shadow experience.
Job Shadow: ITSavvy / Xerox
I job-shadowed Eric Rivera at ITSavvy/Xerox for four hours. During the experience, I learned about email communication, task priority, device support, customer service, troubleshooting, and technology repair.
One major thing I learned is that communication and a troubleshooting mindset are important in IT. I also learned that certifications and technology experience can help prepare someone for this type of career.
